2017 Review: Gunning Roos

It was a tough season for Gunning as they missed out on finals football in both grades, despite being close in Ladies League Tag.

George Tooke Shield

Position:  10th
Win/Loss/Draw: 1 – 13 – 0
Points For: 50
Points Against: 742

Having finished fourth in 2016, the Gunning Roos were unable to replicate similar results as they finish tenth last season.

With one win to their name, the Roos managed to beat fellow strugglers ADFA for their sole win.

The Roos attack and defence both ranked as tenth in the league.

Position:  6th
Win/Loss/Draw: 5 – 9 – 0
Points For: 162
Points Against:242

The Rooetts performed admirably throughout last season as the team missed out on finals football by one place.

Although the Rooetts were behind fifth placed Boorowa by eight points, it’s a big improvement on last season as Gunning finished second last with three wins.

Gunning boast the fifth best defence and sixth best attack in the league.
