The Harden Hawks bounced back from the heartbreak of 2016 in the best way possible as they claimed the 2017 premiership.

Having suffered only two losses throughout the regular season, the Hawks were handed a setback as they lost the major semifinal to the Crookwell Green Devils. However, the Hawks responded in an ideal fashion as they beat Boorowa in the preliminary final before defeating Crookwell 24-20 in the grand final.

The Hawks attack and defence were reflective of their position on the ladder, as the ranked second in both these categories.

The Harden Hawkettes came close to replicating their 2016 premiership success as they finished as runners-up this year.

Unfortunately for the Hawkettes, they struggled to beat Bungendore on all three occasions which they played but were head and shoulders above the rest of the chasing pack.

The Hawkettes were remarkably stingy in defence as they conceded only 46 points during the regular season. Like the men’s side, Harden boast the second best attack and defence in the competition.
