The Queanbeyan Blues host the Raiders Under 20’s while the Gungahlin Bulls face the Woden Valley Rams, in what shapes up to be a thrilling round two of action.
It will be a top of the table clash when the Queanbeyan Blues take on the Raiders Under 20’s at Seiffert Oval on Saturday.
The Raiders Under 20’s managed to turn around a four point deficit at half-time to claim a 28-16 win over the Woden Valley Rams.
Reece Piepers has been named at halfback for the Raiders, replacing last week’s man of the match Jordan Williams.
The Queanbeyan Blues will also be looking to make it two wins from two, having hit their form in the second half to overcome the Gungahlin Bulls 25-18 in round one.
Cyprian Ale and Manu Vanisi both scored for the Blues in their club debut, with Terry Campese’s goal kicking perfect last week.
The Rams and Bulls will be hoping to notch up their first win of the season when the play each other at Gungahlin Enclosed Oval on Saturday.
Woden fought hard against the Raiders Under 20’s side, bouncing back after an early Raiders try to lead 10-6 at half time. Trailing by two tries with ten minutes to go, the Rams got within a converted try thanks to halfback Brayden Robertson, but couldn’t get through the Raiders Under 20’s defence again.
The Gungahlin Bulls will be looking to build off their round one performance, which saw them go down to the Queanbeyan Blues 25-18.
Zac Patch, Tristan Eldridge and Connor Williams all scored in their first game with the Bulls. With a number of new recruits to the side, building combinations within the team will be important.
