Campese Named in Italian Training Squad

Queanbeyan Blues captain-coach Terry Campese has been rewarded for a strong season in the Austbrokers Canberra CRC with a place in the Italian Training Squad for the Rugby League World Cup.

Having guided the Blues to the 2017 Premiership where he was awarded the Bradley Clyde Medal for the Best on Ground in the Grand Final, Campese adds plenty of experience to a talented Italy squad.

During his career, Campese made 139 appearances for the Canberra Raiders, as well as representing Australia, NSW and Hull KR in the Super League.

Italy have been drawn in Pool D alongside Fiji, Ireland and the USA.

The Azzurri are set to play Fiji at Canberra Stadium on Friday 10 November.
