The Yass Magpies have booked a place in next week’s Preliminary Final with an 8-0 win over the Gungahlin Bulls.
In a hard fought match played in trying conditions, the Magpies opened the scoring midway through the first half thanks to Lucy Prosser.
The match stayed in the balance until the dying moments when Jess Howard scored with the last play of the match.
The win sees the Magpies snap their three match losing streak to make the Preliminary Final for the second year in a row.

The Goulburn Workers Bulldogs claimed a comfortable win over the Tuggeranong Bushrangers to move into next week’s Preliminary Final.
Doubles to Max Flack and Cooper O’Connor helped Goulburn on their way as they hope to book a place in the Grand Final for the second year in a row.
Soonafai Tuifelasai powered over early for the Bushrangers as they matched it with Goulburn early but the Bulldogs had a 26-6 lead at halftime.
Tuggeranong scored twice in the second half but it wasn’t enough as Goulburn claimed the win.
Woden Valley Rams 18 (Tries: W Mannion 2, B Prior; Goals: J McDonald 3) d Queanbeyan Kangaroos 10 (Tries: T Williams 2; Goals: J Macey)
The Woden Valley Rams edged their way past the Queanbeyan Kangaroos to book their place in next weekend’s Preliminary Final.
Will Mannion scored a double, with his first effort being the only try in the first half when he latched onto a grubber.
Mannion gave the Rams a 12 point lead in the second half but Tom Williams gave the Kangaroos hope when he crossed in the corner.
Prior restored the lead for Woden before Williams grabbed his second late in the match.
