Canberra Region Rugby League has come out on top in a recent analysis on Facebook engagement across all grassroots sporting organisations in the ACT.
The study, which was undertaken by Shunt, gathered all data from the month of September and ranked CRRL as the leader in all six key areas. These areas were: number of posts, engagement percentage, likes per post, comments per post, shares per post and total reactions, comments and shares.
The September results provide a snapshot of the positive results from the last two seasons with Canberra Region Rugby League’s Facebook and Instagram accounts rising rapidly to have the second highest number of likes and followers across all grassroots sporting organisations in the ACT.
These results come off the back of significant investments by Canberra Region Rugby League to ensure all participants are engaged and informed of what is happening in the sport.
CRRL General Manager Mark Vergano said that the results at all levels of the game were pleasing.
“When we invested in our digital and communication channels, it was important it was promoted across all levels of our game,” Vergano said. “We have seen an increase in people engaging with content at all levels from Canberra Raiders Cup and below.”
Part of this investment by CRRL has been the introduction of BarTV Sports who have provided live streaming and highlights packages, as well as a new website and regular electronic emails.
For the 2018 season the new website received over half a million views, meanwhile, the highlight packages received over 300,000 views.
