CRRL Update: full contact training to resume in ACT from 19 June

Following an announcement from the ACT Government and a subsequent meeting with ACT Sport & Recreation, the CRRL would like to advise that there will be a return to full contact training from midday Friday 19 June for ACT based clubs, while full contact competitions can resume from 10 July in the ACT.

A group of 100 people can be present at training from 19 June, including a coach and trainer. This means multiple groups of 100 are allowed at ACT sportsgrounds as long as social distancing protocols are applied. Practice games between one team will also be allowed at training. Teams will still need to record attendance of all participants.

Changerooms and canteens can also be used again from 19 June with social distancing requirements. The ACT Government will be putting up signage at ACT Sportsgrounds.

From 10 July, full contact competition can commence in the ACT. CRRL competitions are still expected to start from 17-19 July. More than 100 spectators will be allowed at games and canteens can open but with restrictions.

The NSW community sport restrictions remain at training groups of 20 from 13 June, with a full return to contact from 1 July.

Clubs are reminded that their Return to Train and Return to Play protocols need to be approved before teams can return to training.
