Junior League continues to be one of the most affordable team sports as it continues to provide value for money to all participants.
For children aged from 6-17, junior league prices vary per club between $100 and $175 with participants receiving their playing jersey, shorts and socks while generally also getting given a training shirt. Prices in remote regional areas are also extremely affordable with prices ranging from $55 to $100.
In addition to affordable registration fees, most clubs also offer discounts to families who are registering more than one child.
Most clubs also provide trophies or gifts for participants at the end of the season.
The rewards for playing junior league also flow down to NRL level with the Canberra Raiders rewarding every participant with a four game membership. In addition to this, junior league participants receive a ticket per NRL round which entitles them to attend a game of their choice during the regular season (depending on availability) thanks to PlayNRL Rewards.
Participants may also be eligible to receive assistance thanks to Every Chance to Play.
Eligible Indigenous participants can also receive financial assistance thanks to the ACT Government’s Indigenous Sports Grant Program. To see if you are eligible, contact CRRL on 6253 3515.
Participants who live in NSW and register for a NSW club may also be entitled to the NSW Government’s Active Kids Voucher that takes $100 off the registration price.
