The NSWRL has announced the initial NSW Under-16s Pathways squad for 2018, which will assemble at the Sydney Academy of Sport in Narrabeen on 15-17 January.
Amongst the initial squad are Jack Williams and Junior Tupou who ply their trade for the Queanbeyan Kangaroos and Woden Weston Rams respectively.
Canberra Raiders Junior High Performance Manager Dean Souter believes that having three Raiders players picked is a good reflection of the Raiders junior pathway.
“The fact that the Raiders are the NRL side with the equal most representatives shows the quality of the junior pathways in place here,” Souter said.
“To have both Jack and Junior coming out of the local competition and into the NSW Under-16s Pathways squad proves that there are plenty of opportunities for Canberra kids too.”
The initial 2018 NSW Under-16s Pathways squad is as follows:
Jack Williams Canberra Raiders
