REWARDING AND RECOGNISING OFFICIALS, VOLUNTEERS AND JUNIOR PLAYERS
In mid February 2015 the NRL released the new Play NRL Rewards program, replacing the existing Junior/NRL Pass program. Eligible participants are entitled to one (1) FREE ticket per round of the NRL Telstra Premiership (Conditions apply). Participants will therefore be able to attend up to 26 games free of charge in 2015.
HOW IT WORKS
After registering to play or volunteer on the LeagueNet website, participants will receive a welcome email with their login details. The email subject will be ‘Your Play NRL Rewards Login Details’. They will be directed to the Play NRL Rewards website where they will be able to choose the games they wish to attend and start redeeming their free tickets. Tickets will be delivered via email and can be printed at home. Plastic passes will no longer be used to gain access to the stadia.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
The program is offered to all registered club and school players aged 4-15 (please note: players must be born on or after 1st January 2000 to be eligible for the program). In addition to players, the program is also offered to volunteers, coaches, officials and school officials who are involved in rugby league. The program is offered to participants in NSW, ACT, QLD and VIC only.
VALID EMAIL ADDRESS!
In order for the NRL to provide participants with their login details to the ‘Play NRL Rewards’ website it is essential that a valid email address is provided at the point of registration (in LeagueNet).
You can read more about the program on the About page of the Play NRL Rewards website. If you need any support regarding how the new program works or if you’ve not received your welcome email you can contact us using the Contact Us form at www.playnrlrewards.com.
In previous years it has proven difficult to get plastic passes into participant’s hands in time for the start of the season. By moving online the NRL will be able to provide participants with access to the rewards website within a few days of registration. They will then be able to start redeeming tickets immediately. With the new program the NRL will able to provide participants with a far superior level of service compared with years past.
WHY OFFER THE PROGRAM?
Our aim is to encourage junior players to attend games, watch their heroes play and get behind their team. We also want to reward the many volunteers, coaches and officials who put in so much time and hard work to make our junior club and school competitions a success.
We look forward to seeing you in the crowd!
