The Woden Valley Rams had a solid season in 2020 but were unable to reach the grand final at season’s end.
Woden recorded three wins throughout the competition, defeating the Gungahlin Bulls in round two (16-8) and the Queanbeyan Blues in round six (52-30) and round nine (29-20)
The Rams were highly competitive throughout the competition, with many close games. They pushed the Raiders Under 20s all the way in their three games against them, including a tight 28-22 loss in round seven.
Fullback Daine Spencer was the Rams top try-scorer, with five tries across the season.
Rams halfback Brayden Robertson was the joint winner of the Best and Fairest Award for the CRRL Cup First Grade competition, after a strong season.

Woden captain Steven Ferry scored his first career double in the match, while fullback Daine Spencer also picked up two tries.
Scott Swanson, Luke Ingram, Daniel Desmet, Tyler Jones and Michael Geiger were the other try-scorers in the game.
The Woden Valley Rams were crowned Reserve Grade champions in 2020, capping off a wonderful season.
The Rams started the competition in fine form, winning their first four games. They then lost their next two matches, to the Queanbeyan Blues in round six (24-14) and the UC Stars in round seven (12-6).
But Woden were able to bounce back, winning the final two games of the regular season to reach the grand final.
The Rams built their season on the back of their defence, with 88 points against them across eight games.
Woden winger Bryce Philipzen was the top try-scorer for the Rams, with four tries.
Rams captain Jesse Taws came second in the CRRL Cup Reserve Grade Best and Fairest Award leaderboard for the 2020 season, recording points in six of his matches.
Their 22-4 grand final win over the UC Stars to claim the reserve grade title.
The Rams defence was rock solid throughout the game, only letting in one Stars try despite plenty of attacking pressure.
With the half-time score at 12-4, the Rams were first to score in the second half and went on to get the job done.
Mitchell Swadling, Luke Ellis, Tobias Moore and Liam Howard all scored tries in the game.
Centre Luke Ellis was named Player of the Match for his performance.
The Woden Valley Rams League Tag side finished with three wins throughout the 2020 competition.
The Rams recorded their first win in round one, defeating the UC Stars 52-0. They lost the next two matches before another win over the UC Stars, this time a 14-0 win.
Woden’s final victory against the UC Stars came in round seven, with a dominant 48-0 performance.

Caitlyn Robb and Maria Posantzis both scored doubles, with Renee Norgrove, Isabelle Mico, Julie Balogh-Coulson, Tammy Povey, Jessica Povey and Rachel Fearn all scoring tries too.
At the end of round seven, the Rams were just one win behind the second placed Queanbeyan Blues. But Woden lost the final two games of the season to finish in third place.
