Round two of the Katrina Fanning Shield is this weekend, with West Belconnen taking on the Bushpies and the Queanbeyan Blues hosting the Tuggeranong Buffaloes.
The Bushpies will look to make it two wins from two when they take on West Belconnen at Gungahlin on Saturday.
The Bushpies were impressive in their competition debut, despite having limited time together as a whole team.
Ahlivia Ingram lead the way in attack with two tries, with the team’s goal line defence also solid under pressure from the Buffaloes.
West Belconnen went down to a strong Queanbeyan Blues side 64-0, and will be looking for an improved performance.
The Queanbeyan Blues will be hoping to back up their round one performance when they take on the Tuggeranong Buffaloes at Seiffert Oval on Saturday.
The Blues attack was impressive, putting 12 tries on the scoreboard. Shantelle Hellyer scored at hat-trick, with Samantha Wood and Alanna Brooks also running in two tries each.
The Tuggeranong Buffaloes fought hard in their round one match, with some solid goal line defence keeping the Bushpies out on a number of occasions.
