The Raiders Foundation Club, Queanbeayn Leagues Club (QLC) will be back open and running from Monday, 1 June 2020 as part of the staged return from COVID-19 restrictions.
QLC will be adhering to strict guidelines set out by the NSW Government to ensure compliance including the 1.5 metre social distancing requirement enforced at all times. The Club is making every effort to ensure the health and safety of valued members and visitors in this current climate.
Blue Q Café will be open from 12pm daily, with the Café/Bar open from 9am daily. Whilst the Club is open, there will be limited seating and no bookings taken, with a maximum of 10 to a table and a smaller menu selection on offer.
QLC General Manager, Jeremy Wyatt is very happy to be able to bring back staff and open for business.
“It’s been quite a stressful time for many of our staff base who felt the direct effects of COVID-19 and it’s wonderful to be able to get staff back on deck come the 1st of June. QLC is a second home for many staff who have been with us for a long time. We have all missed each other over the last two months.”
QLC is an integral part of the Canberra Raiders and the community and it has a strong commitment to support, promote and develop Rugby League in our region.
Asked if he was excited about the doors re-opening, Wyatt said “Absolutely, we are very excited to see our members and visitors again and welcome them into our Club for a meal and some normality. The process to re-open has been frantic but it will all be worth it when we see those faces walk in on Monday. Hopefully we will see some Raiders fans in to watch the Green Machine Round 4 match against the Knights on the big screens come Sunday afternoon.”
Queanbeyan Leagues Club will open on Monday, 1 June 2020 at 9am.
Please note due to Government restrictions, ACT venues are still closed until further notice.
