The Yass Magpies have today announced that Cameron Hardy as Head Coach for the next two seasons.
Hardy, who has spent the last two seasons coaching the Bungendore Tigers in the George Tooke Shield, will link up with his son Josh who coaches the Yass Magpies Women’s side.
Yass President Greg Smith said he was pleased with the direction the club is heading with the experienced Hardy at the helm.
“Cameron is a vastly experienced coach not only in the Canberra Raiders Cup but in rugby league within this region,” Smith said. “His leadership and coaching abilities will bring the best out of our squad as we look to build upon the last two years of work.
“On behalf of the Yass Magpies, I would like to also thank Jarrad Teka for his service throughout the 2018 season.”
Hardy has previously coached the Woden Valley Rams and Belconnen United Scholars in the Canberra Raiders Cup, while having also been assistant coach for West Belconnen when they claimed the 2004 Premiership.
